“RUN and PLAY”, HOSTGALLERY Gallery, Sofia, Bulgaria

The young graphic artist Nikola Tsvetanov continues with the presentation of 13 significant names of Bulgarian and international artists, in development of his first curatorial project “PLAY”.

with works of: Iv Toshain and Anna Ceeh, Asen Yanev, Slava George, Vikenti Komitski, Neno Belchev, Nikodim Chernev, Nikola Stoyanov, Simona Racheva, Stefani Nedelcheva and Bojana Slavkova, Georgi Pavlov and Diana Bunkin.

We remind you – about his idea, Nikola Tsvetanov shared that he considers the creative process not only as an artistic act of creating an artwork and

“playing” with the materials, but also as a long-term impact of the already created art on the artist’s work.

Undoubtedly, a work has the power to influence not only the audience, but it forms a strong imprint in creativity and creates many invisible threads between all other artworks.

“The artists’ projects ‘work’ more on the author than the other way around. They ‘run’ with them and

‘play’ even after the deadline is over. Digital realities, delicate threads and rasters build ephemerally deep connections in the creative processes. House and order find their counterpoint, and the viewer is encouraged to ask questions about identity and to unravel the time of delicate balance and counterweight.

The artists invited to this exhibition are very dynamic individuals with diverse art practices in their professional fields. Decoding the proceedings is cinematically meant to resemble ‘old-school gaming'”

The exhibition “RUN and PLAY” opens on May 2nd (Friday) from 6:00 PM to 9:00

PM, in the presence of the curator and participants.
